He hath filled the hungry with good things

He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.- Luke 1:53 

Just like if you were hungry and sought food to nourish your body, if you are spiritually hungry and seek God, you will always be fulfilled in spirit.

If you feel you are rich and have all that you need then you will not find any fulfillment and he will turn you away.

Be an empty cup to be filled,
Be a empty soul to be nourished
Then God will provide what you need
To be fulfilled.

Peter 2:2-3 Like newborn babies...

“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.”


- 1 Peter 2:2-3

Some times we come accross a passage in the Bible that really boggles the mind. We all know the benefits of milk and the importance in the first few months of a newborn baby diet. The spiritual milk that is being refered to here is the word of God. We are what we eat both physically and spiritually. So if we are putting good things into ourselves, then we will be better. If we are putting junk into ourselves then the end product will not be good.
 

The pureness of milk gives us the helps to put this in perspective of what the word of God gives to us in body and soul.
