Michael Jackson is gone...

News broke this morning that Michael Jackson is dead.
We give a prayer of thanks for all the joy his music has given and hopefully he can find peace now form all his troubles.

Thank God for all the Fathers in the world

Father's day brings missing my dad more since he passed on about years already.
Yet everyday I have to thank God for his blessing to me of my dad and the time we had together. Cherish your dad everyday not just on Father's dad as he is a precious gift which cannot be replaced. One day, he will have to leave you, as is the circle of life. Thank you God for my Dad.

God works in mysterious ways...

I just got an interview for a company in a town about 45 mins away from my place. I have never been out to this place before and somehow about 2 weeks back I had to go there for a business trip. Luckily I had a guide with me, who showed me the way. This really helped when I went out there to check the place out as I could recognize the landmarks on the way.

He definitely lays the path for you if you only learn to look.
Thanks God for small miracles.

Timing

Normally on Sunday I would like to stay in and catch up on some of my personal stuff and just chill out. This Sunday I had a nagging feeling to visit my old house again even though we had just gone to check it the day before.

When I reached home, I tried to unlock the padlock on the gate but to my astonishment the whole barrel fell out. Sunday coming up to 5pm, where could I find a locksmith ? Thank God I thought...imagine if this would have happened the previous day, when my mum was around. She would have gone on and on about it and it would have been terrible.

Anyway, I tried the nearby shopping arcade and surprisingly there was a locksmith. I managed to get them to come out to the house and within seconds he had the padlock open. He mentioned that actually he was about to close up for the day and he was not always opened every Sunday.

Gods blessing comes everyday and there are no big miracles, just small blessings everyday.

Thank God for the little blessing of getting through all the preparations for another Chinese New Year. A time of festivities and stress trying to ensure all the traditional things get done and all the essential visits are complete. Festival times are a time of hyper activity when we get lost in the rush of things. Another year another festival.

Small wonders and thanks to God for providing us a brain and the knowledge to use it !
People can blame their circumstances on bad luck, bad choices, bad decisions but how many can make use of this great gift to change where they are at and make the most of the situation ?

Are you doing something to improve your life or waiting for that great miracle to drop from the sky ?! Little do you realize that the miracle you are waiting for is YOU !

Thank GOD for old friends

Thank GOD for the little blessings of old friends and first loves.
Just met up with my first girlfriend and nice to know that she still cares and is doing well.
Strange though that although married, both husband and wife lead quite separate lives ... almost single life styles. Many couples seem to be in this mode...is there any point in marriage in this case or am I being old fashioned ?

Anyway I thank GOD for the opportunity to have been together and to see her again.
Who knows the path laid out for them...?
