Watching the wedding of Prince Harry and Kate, I could not help to think how momentous and occasion this was for numerous reasons. The obvious one for the was the happy occasion for the British Royal family and the British people who came out in their thousands to share in their happy day. But for us in Malaysia, there was another wondrous moment.
Here we have a full Christian service being televised on our TV, on a domestic channel. It may be hard for some people to appreciate the relevance of this type of broadcast if they did not live in Malaysia. To have God's house on our TV sets on prime time television is a miracle in it's self. So whilst being happy to join in the celebrations of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Katherine Middleton, we also can celebrate for what I know, the first broadcast on Malaysian national TV of a full Christian service.

John 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).
A sobering thought. Recently my girlfriend's mum pass away and I have to wonder what has become of her. Having being brought up in a Buddhist family and having believed this all her life, was there any hope for her ? For Buddhist believe that doing good during their life time will allow them to have a better future which is totally at a tangent to Christianity. For us there is only way and that is through Jesus Christ. That is laid out in black and white as the lawyers would quote. No compromise.
There is no such thing as selling the deceased belongings and donating it to charities to push the soul to a higher plane. It always falls short.
The differences were very stark to me...it is something others find it hard to understand.
Sometimes we as Christians also do not really understand and try to do it on their own.
We need to understand this in order to share the true way with others.

Matthew 28:5-7 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus..."
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
Matthew 28:5-7 (NIV)
As another Easter goes by what did we discover of ourselves and our relationship with God.
Did we go to the cave, discover it was empty and fear for our future ?
Or did we discover / re-discover our faith in God and the gift of the resurrection ?
Only you will be able to answer this as each of our journeys are our own.
We can draw parrallels to the experiences oh so long ago, but each person will need to discover in their own way...
the gift from God.

11 “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”
This is Easter let us renew our work to be closer to this.
The day will come when this will come to pass.

Good Friday - a time to remember the ultimate sacrifice
Good Friday comes around again and we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice that was made for us. We are reminded that it is not through our good works or deeds that we are saved and redeemed, but through the ultimate sacrifice laid down on the cross oh so long ago.
As Easter comes, please remember it is not about furry bunny rabbits or colorful Easter eggs, how nice that may be...but it is about a gift so much more precious for the price that was paid.

John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish
John 10:28-30 (New International Version, ©2011)
28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

"They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge Me" (Jeremiah 9:3).
Jeremiah was appointed God's spokesman to call the people of Israel back to a relationship filled with true worship. But despite many pleas for the people to repent, their hearts remained cold and closed to God's wonderful truth; "They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge Me" (Jeremiah 9:3).
Each day we struggle through the array of temptations that we seemed to be drawn into. How do we over come these. Not with our own straight or will power. We really cannot do it on our own. Only with Jesus's help we can over come this together. Oh I know how heavy this hangs on us.
As Bob Dylan sang..."People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient, then repent."

God dearly loves His children; "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
God dearly loves His children; "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). He sent His Son to die as a sacrifice for our sins and gave His Spirit to strengthen and guide us along His path. He continues to call! But constant rejection will cause our heart to harden and be subject to God's discipline.
A hardened heart has chosen to live separated from God. It can no longer hear God's call and cannot even recognize His truth. When this occurs, our Loving Father responds with great sorrow and allows the hardened heart to follow the path it desires; "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts" (Romans 1:24). Dear Lord, do not allow us to follow our own path!

Beautiful Christian Person's Day - I am a Christian
When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!
Today is Beautiful Christian Person's Day.
Beautiful is just plain Beautiful..

Romans 6:2-4 "We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer"
Romans 6:2-4
"We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
The weight of sin weighs heavy. The only way to lift this burden is to pass it to God and gain forgiveness. Do this and gain a new life. A new start without past baggage.
A great price was paid to redeem us. It is for us to recognise this gift and take up this opportunity for a new life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death...
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 (NIV)
Man this is one of the scariest passages in the Bible and yet the most assuring.
The extremes of life and death.
Only God can save you for human nature is to sin
There is nothing that you do, will be perfect.
The pull in many directions will lead you to sin in some way or another.
Sometimes there are things you need to accept and work with
Once you figure out that you cannot do it alone then you need to reach out to God for assistance.
Rest assured that there will always be a hand reaching back down to you.
Thats the greatest gift you can expect.
Reach out...

Matthew 24:7 Earthquakes and End of Days
Matthew 24:7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/305331
With the earthquakes in Japan and now Indonesia yesterday, there have been a lot of talk on the end times. Lets put these news in perspective. There are earthquakes going on daily, it is just that we only hear of the big ones 7.0 and above.
Personally I feel that we focus too much on the end times and we loose sight of the present, and what we have to do now. We should concentrate on the things we can do today and do it now. The end times will come when the time comes. What we have done has gone into record, what we do today will contribute tomorrow. What we plan to do tomorrow may not come to pass. No matter how you worry about the end of days, it will not make that day come any sooner and you cannot defer that day. Live your life as best as you can and be true to the word of God.
